EPISODE 346 - NDIS Legislative Changes - Impact on SDA

In this episode, Debbie & Minh dive into the latest NDIS legislative changes—things like tighter reassessment rules, tweaks to eligibility, cuts to some support budgets, and new registration requirements for SIL providers.
For SDA stakeholders, the big takeaway is this: SDA capital funding has been protected from Ministerial funding reduction powers, so it’s not in the direct firing line.
That said, SDA and SIL are still closely linked. So for property owners, things like provider stability, registration, and overall operational strength are becoming more critical than ever.
On a more positive note, we’re also seeing signs that SDA demand is picking up again in certain markets - even in areas that were previously flagged as oversupplied. With development slowing down and providers on the hunt for suitable vacant whole dwellings, the tide may be starting to turn.
